Checking…

One notification a week, Sunday evening, and only when the brief has something in it. It says Your week is ready and carries no figures — a lock screen is readable by anyone holding the phone.

How the number is made

Income you set$5,232.64
Bills−$2,648.53
$19.92 of that isn't on the itemised list — a bill seen too few times to recognise, like a mortgage in a 90-day window. It is still subtracted. See the list
Savings first−$225.00
Left for the month$2,359.11
Spent so far 21 charges−$975.89

Before money is called spare

Only used to tell a fill-up from a snack run at a gas station. If you rarely buy fuel, the app has little to learn from and this is the single most useful thing you can tell it.

The reserve is a stand-in for the irregular-bill fund, which needs more history than most of these accounts have — only the Apple import reaches back far enough to price an annual renewal properly. It is subtracted before any money is offered as spare, so a surprise renewal does not land on a card.

Replace my authenticator

For a new phone. Everyone gets signed out, and the old phone's codes stop working.

Once you've both set up a phone, shut this. After that the password alone gets nobody in, ever — a lost phone is fixed from the command line.
